French Bread

1 1/4 cup hot water
1 T. yeast
1 1/2 T. sugar
3 cups flour
1 1/2 t. salt

Mix water, yeast, sugar and 1 1/2 cups of flour.  Let sit for 10 minutes.  Add remaining flour and salt.  Knead 5-7 minutes.  Shape into a loaf and let rise.  Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
